Carrot Cake

2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 cups oil
4 eggs
3 cups grated carrots

Combine ingredients; bake at 350 degrees in a greased 9x13 pan for 45-60 minutes.

Meat and Vegetable Balls

1 lb ground meat
2 eggs
4 grated carrots
4 T gr. celery
1 T minced onion
1/4 cup bread crumbs

Mix and shape into approximately 15 small balls. Brown and simmer with 1 can tomato soup and 1 can water.

Hamloaf

1 lb ground ham
1 lb ground pork
2 eggs
1 cup bread crumbs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup cracker crumbs

Mix ingredients. Place in pan, spread over this mixture a topping made by mixing prepared mustard and brown sugar. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.

Mom's Birthday Cake

Bake chocolate cake in two round cake pans. Cool and cut into as many layers as possible. Frost inbetween each layer and on outside of the cake with whipped whipping cream or cool whip. Garnish with chocolate shavings.


Peanut Butter Blossoms

5 ¼ cup flour
3 tsp soda
1 ½ t salt
3 eggs
6 T milk
1 ½ cup shortening
1 ½ cup peanut butter
1 ½ cup brown sugar
1 ½ cup granulated sugar
3 tsp vanilla

Mix ingredients together. Roll into balls, then roll in sugar. Bake for 8-10 minutes @ 350 degrees F. Remove and lightly press a Hershey’s Kiss on top of each cookie. Cook 2 minutes more.


Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats

6 cups rice krispie treats
1 cup karo syrup
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup chocolate chips

Melt karo syrup, peanut butter and sugar together over stove. Take off heat and stir in rice krispies. Mix well. Mix in 1 cup chocolate chips. Pour and let set in pan.
